When Valentine’s Day occurs each year, flowers are top of mind– they’re normally our go-to gift on the day of love. Rather of looking for a bouquet of blossoms this February 14, consider this floral craft idea from La Petite Fête. She showed this eye-grabbing piece of floral wall art at a Galentine’s Day celebration, but it works just as well as a present for your buddies or partner, too.
Start with a painted canvas (get an affordable one from your local home goods store) and bring it to life with silk flowers and plant. Or, fully devote to the DIY: Sketch a basic vase overview on a plain white canvas and then “fill” your vessel with faux buds.

Using an X-acto knife, cut a slit in the canvas at the top of the vase’s opening. (This will be utilized to protect a few stems, producing the impression of a plan within the vase.).

Slip a few of the largest blossom stems through the vase slit opening, filling in the gaps with smaller blossoms and leaves. (Tip: You can manipulate the wire stems and gently flex flower heads forward to create more natural motion.) When layout is last, hot glue flowers onto the canvas to secure, utilizing wire cutters to trim stems as required.

Tape the stems that are slipped through the vase down to the backside of the canvas to hold them in place.

Continue adding more flowers and leaves to your arrangement, gluing flower heads directly onto the canvas as required.
